DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN SANCERRE
Bienvenue à la Loire! In the morning, you’ll meet your host in a central Paris location (optional: airport, train station, or hotel pick up) and then be transferred to the charming hilltop village of Sancerre. Settle into your accommodation and enjoy your first day surrounded by vineyards. You’ll have time to explore the village of Sancerre, taste local products, and shop at your own leisure. In the evening, we’ll have our welcome dinner in a local restaurant to get to know our group and kick off the experience. Overnight in Sancerre.

DAY 2 – DISCOVERING SANCERRE REGION
After Breakfast, we’ll start our wine journey, a guided tour of the Sancerre area, and we’ll get to know all about the AOC Sancerre and AOC Pouilly-Fumé. We’ll taste wines from both appellations (whites and reds) as well as the local Chavignol Cheese (goat cheese). Afternoon will be at leisure in the village of Sancerre. Overnight in Sancerre.

DAY 3 – RENAISSANCE BRILLIANCE THROUGH THE CHATEAUS
Breakfast at the hotel. Today will be all about French history, its Renaissance architecture and influence,  with visits to the masterpieces of Chambord and Chenonceau. Between architectural grandeur and fairytale views, you’ll feel the echo of centuries past. We’ll end the day with a refined dinner including wines. Check in and overnight in/near Tours.

DAY 4 – GARDENS, RIVERS & VOUVRAY WINES
Breakfast at the hotel. We’ll start the day exploring the famed gardens of the Château de Villandry, and we will enjoy a delicious picnic lunch during a Loire River tour on a traditional boat. After lunch, we’ll have the chance to taste the elegance of Vouvray Chenins (dry, sparkling, and sweet) before heading back to the hotel. Evening at leisure. Overnight in/near Tours

DAY 5 – REDS OF BOURGEUIL & CHINON
Breakfast at the hotel. This day will be all about Cabernet Franc and its different expressions. Discover two versions of the most important red grape in the Loire from neighboring regions, Bourgueil & Chinon.  You’ll also have leisure time in the charming medieval town of Chinon, where you’ll have time to get lunch at your leisure with the Fortress as a background and taste local products. The day concludes with a convivial dinner celebrating local cuisine. Overnight in/near Saumur.

DAY 6 – THE HEART OF SAUMUR-CHAMPIGNY
Breakfast at the hotel. Your final full day brings you to the birthplace of refined sparkling wines and velvety reds. We’ll visit underground cellars carved in tufa stone, we’ll taste the famous Crémants de Loire and the famous Saumur-Champigny reds, and we’ll have the chance to visit an Abbey where French royals are buried. The day will end with our farewall dinner where we’ll have time to share and enjoy the company of our group one last time. Overnight in/near Saumur.

DAY 7 – AU REVOIR
After breakfast, and saying goodbye to your new friends, your driver will take you to the Tours train station or back to Paris. You’ll leave the Loire with more than memories, a deeper understanding of French wine, history, and perhaps, a bit of its spirit.
